  1. Branding and retail sales have been a big growth area for us this year. We had an Oki laser printer- waterproof ink- and can print labels for 6 – 7 pence – 10-15 candian cents ?? But, as you say start small ….. thanks

  2. hi Curtis. little out of context to this video here, but have you used overhead sprinklers (the movable, place and run ones) inside low tunnels, instead of drip lines? drip seems to be a hassel. thanks.

  3. About how much have you spent on growing your business? Like the equipment and building green houses and the fridges just everything that has anything to do with your business!
I've been trying to save up money this past year because I want to do this but I just don't know how much I should be saving. Please answer! A rough estimate would be great!

  4. For small labels another option is address labels. They get down to a few cents each and have adhesive backing.

One thing I've considered is doing are cartoon character stickers as labels and putting them under the plastic. I'm an artist as well which makes it easier. The idea is to get kids excited about fruits and vegetables through the label/stickers. Kids love stickers and branding to cartoon characters can be a strong selling point. Gotta think outside the box.

  5. Curtis, I've got an awesome label producer that I use out of China where I get labels anywhere from $.04 – $.10 each. They are great quality so let me know if you want the contact info, I'm happy to send an intro email for you. Ps – love your channel, you've really inspired me to start gardening again. Way to much trial and error lately – but I'm looking to grow it much bigger so I can start a program to help end hunger in my area. So thanks for the inspiration!

  6. If you absolutely want a colored label. You can get 1,000 custom stickers 13 cents a piece. Just understand you would need another set of 1,000 for each product you have. So you had better be in love with whatever label you decide on. The price jumps to 28 cents each for 500.

  7. The QL700 was upgraded to the QL800, same price (US$99.99) but it prints in two colors, black and red. Then, there's the new QL800W, faster, and wireless.

  8. Hey! I'm out here in Colombia where it's harder to source anything so I want to make double sure. Do the labels you print hold well in refrigirators? with the added humidity. Thanks!

  9. I got a Brother QL-820NWB. Very similar to the one showcased here. Thermal printer BUT it prints in black and red! A little color for a similar price goes a long way. If you can slog through the set up (YES! It's tricky and a pain!) it is a great printer.
