Ingredients:
2 cups Plain flour
3 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
Dash of salt
5-6 Tablespoons real butter
1 Cup Buttermilk
I'm so glad I found you!
Girl, your recipe is the best!!! I just love good Southern biscuits. But, I might tweek your technique. Use a pastry cutter girl!!! that dices up the butter/lard perfectly, and doesn't add any warmth from your hands. (your hands can get sticky later!!!). And, just pull that dough together into one huge lump, and very very gently just fold it over onto itself a few times, and get those layers. Biscuits shouldn't be worked or kneaded nearly that much.
OMG!!!! Fresh real unsalted butter and some great home-made preserves. Or the jam from Cracker Barrel, or a store that carries it, like Publix… SO SINFULLY GOOD!!! Slap your Mama good!!!
Love your video. I made these biscuits last year and had to find this video so I could make them again today. I was scrolling through all the MANY biscuit videos just searching for this one! I was praying to find it and so glad when I finally did. You did such a great job explaining things and the biscuits turned out amazing! Now I'm going to write the recipe down so I don't have to go through the search next time. I'll also add the video name and channel so I can recommend to others.
Had to watch this video again those biscuits look so good
These biscuits remind me of scones that you have for a cream tea in england – although they have different ingrediants. They are looking lovely, problably tasting fanstastic!
Always learning something in your videos ……made biscuits for the first time using vinegar buttermilk …and they were delicious !!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe! They are delicious and are so easy!
Looks yummy. My mom made the best biscuits, and she even had the same plates! Thanks for the memories.
It was a pinch of salt Patara. Love your honest straight forward videos. Keep them coming girl. You can be sure the majority of us love them.

Dumplings and now butter milk biscuits –Yes, I'm a carb girl all the way!
Thank you very much! I will surprise my mrs with these, sometime.
Mixing up the butter and molasses that way…I've only ever seen my grandmother do that…lolol. I will be 60 in December And have never heard of anyone do that before. She also did preserves and jams that and I still sometimes now myself…lolol
Will be making these this week. Yum!
Nice job..
I made these! Soooo easy! Min ingredients and simple process! Thnk u Thank You THANK YOU!
I made these Monday night right after work. I had you talking to me while I got my hands all "dirty". They were SO easy! I stuck them in the oven (on my new Lodge skillet) and made some Cowboy Stew. My husband said they melted in his mouth. This was the first time I've ever made homemade biscuits. THANK YOU!
I know somebody that likes to drink buttermilk. The buttermilk you made can it be made in large amount like a half gallon and put in the refrigerator? How long does it last?
