  1. subsurface soil compaction, deeper loose soil. My carrots suffer too. this year I will plant a bc heirloom that is stubby just fatter. don't the package art always make the look perfect? you can bet they will taste so good. homegrown carrots are sure easy to like. stay warm. no heat bill for you yet. gooooood.

  2. Burrr! I had get a jacket to finish watching this ;P Stay warm! Do you remember what kind of carrots you sowed? The reason I ask is that I recently saw a graphic on the different carrot types. If they are Chantenay carrots, they usually grow like than and reach up to 6". Still, you have carrots!!

  3. You have a really nice garden! Your carrots look good, they weren't long but the circumference looked good. Mine never even get that big because I always get impatient and pull them up…maybe one of these times I will just let them grow. 🙂
