10 is better than 8. I gave my grandson the 8 and kept my vista. Then had to upgrade or not be online. I prefer vista. But 10 is working. They updated to where I can upload and erase my videos and photos from camera now. They added a program. It is not as easy as vista. But. It works. Good luck.
