  1. I’m starting to grow veggies in my basement as a hedge against the possibility (likelihood?) of another supply chain interruption. I’m limited to plant based foods (kidney problems), & not having access to copious amounts of lettuce, Spinach, etc. would be a big problem for me. The world has gone MAD!!

  2. Earth cherries!! I made a little garden in the basement with led lights and the earth cherries are absolutely THRIVING in their pots! More so than when they were in my backyard! 🙂

  3. Got your quadrants screwed up. Spinach and lettuce/herbs/beans are backwards. Good info though. Beans were the first thing on my mind to grow year round. I lack necessity, so I would pursue this for the "cool factor" of bringing someone fresh beans in the middle of winter and telling them I grew them. I would have questions about pollination indoors but I'm sure I can find a ScrewTube video on that subject.

  4. I know it's 3 years later, but this was very helpful. Times are different now from even a few years back. I consider myself a hobby gardner because I like gardening (I understand being and working with the plants being relaxing), but I working towards growing for family and expanding outwards. Thanks for your videos! Been watching for years before I was able to garden.

  5. Hi I am in Manistique and the plants that interested in growing certain veggies that are difficult to purchase up here and extremely expensive. For instance. Napa cabbage. 1.79 a pound and one head can weigh 4 pounds. Please be an expert for me. If you can do it indoor all the better. Last year I attempted 2x and if it wasn’t eaten up by those pesky gr larvae then they bolted. I currently am starting 2 kinds indoor for under my new lumens and kelvins

  6. Hi Dude, great video. Last summer I ate fresh caught pickeral and garden grown beans every day. Not only did it taste great, but I saved a ton of money and lost a ton of weight. This summer I'm growing tomatoes and plan on making a year's supply of tomatoe sauce. I agree about the herbs and beans being best bang for your buck. I love the tomatoes, but lettuce, herbs and beans I agree are best for ease, cost and diet.

  7. @
MIgardener, Representing it in a chart is very good, easly understandable, but possible to give an update video on this? may be add more plants in the chart.

  8. New subscriber here commenting on an older video. The chart is indeed helpful. I would like to see a more exhaustive list, actually, as I'm just getting into indoor gardening.

  9. Hi Luke- – I was just checking over my cucumber plants and discovered that the yellow spots on my leaves are due to aphids and mites. I will be picking up some Neem oil to treat them and hope it works. I appreciate your explanation plants that require more energy and those that don't. I can identify with everything you said. Thank you for your very informative video.

  10. I grew my herbs in pots this year. We have love the taste of fresh herbs so much, I’m growing them all winter. Living in CO, I take the pots outdoors in the sun when above freezing. I bring them in the house at night. I am growing basil, cilantro, rosemary and thyme in pots. I have Parsley, chives, onions in the garden. LyNette R., Golden, CO (zone 5B)
