  1. Curtis – Are you still going to be able to double-crop the lettuce or are you just cutting from the top and then letting it regrow? I'm really curious as to whether the harvesting will be an issue or not because it seems like it may make harvesting more difficult.

Also – didn't you used to inter-crop carrots with tomatoes? Why did you change – or did you?

  2. are you using landscape fabric because you are worried about weed pressure or latent seeds in the soil? and did you find that this winter was mild for you? in pittsburgh it was one of the mildest I can remember

  3. Recently you were talking about aphids, you might want to intercrop some Sweet Alyssum with that lettuce and tomatoes. Dr. Eric Brennan was some wonderful You Tubes on his eight or nine years of testing in organic fields.

  4. Hey Curtis. I'm a new sub but I have watched almost all of your videos. Your a great resource to say the least. Sorry if I missed it, but what is the landscape material that you are planting into and Is that plastic or cloth and how thick? Thanks, -T

  5. Ah man so now you tell us to move the plants in the center of the canvas on a zig zag so there is more room I just did my whole green house the old way but yours makes more sense and I like the idea of planting lettuce in the empty holes wish I had thought of that well next green house will get that implemented . thank you from Dennis back yard gardens.

  6. using 2 planting trowels to dig the hole for for potted seedlings maybe You could make a mini post hole digger with like 18" to 22" long handles I have tryed a bulb planter and it didn't work very well maybe My soil wasn't fluffy enough

  7. Very cool. I planted 18" last year – I'm gonna try 10" this year! Curtis have you ever calculated gross profit on tomatoes per bed? Like per 50ft?

  8. Hi Curtis. Just trying to grow a few tomatoes for my allotment in the UK. After germination my seedlings always seem to slow right down. I'm starting them off in my kitchen then putting them out on my balcony in a little mini greenhouse. Why do you think my tomatoes take so long to get strong and bushy? I don't really have a half way between the over warm/low light conditions of my kitchen and the still quite cold conditions of my mini green house outside.
