As a beginning gardener, I have to admit, I did plenty of Internet searches trying to find out if little green shoots were weeds or the beginnings of crops I planted.
In this video, I take beginning gardeners into my garden and show the difference between sprouts of arugula, carrots, lettuce, spinach, and a few weeds.

I have actually broken the tip of a spinach sprout off and tasted it to tell the difference before. Even as a sprout it taste just like spinach!

Lol, I can relate to this. I think as just gain experience with the veggies you grow it becomes much easier to know what they look like as sprouts.
Thank you for this. This is my 1st year with a garden, I am sure I pulled some veggies accidently, this helps a lot.
I planted broccoli but i cant tell if it is a weed or the sprout. Any help to tell the difference plz?

Title of your video Vs the content is way off
You didn’t even show us a Weed Sprout lol
I planted from a package spinach and all the long leaves look like weeds to me. Do you have a step by step of how that spinach look in stages? The long leaves look sort of what mind do.
Thank you so much
Thanks for the information. I planted an assortment of flowers, but now I'm not sure if there weeds or flowers growing. This yard has had big problems with greenbrier, kudzu and Chinese Privet. Many thanks Miss.
