  1. Hi Patera… Love the sights and sounds from your homestead. I'm just down the road from you in Tellico Plains. Sure will be glad when this cold weather passes. I've had seed potatoes and onion sets sitting on the den floor for almost a month now. February fooled me into thinking I could get the garden started early… LOL. Maybe next week… Spring is just around the corner. Take care my friend!

  2. You are awesome!  You wrap each video in so much love and you are so appreciated!  Feeling so very blessed to have come to know you via YouTube and am over the moon with excitement for you for the gathering at the homesteading conference.  What you and others are sharing is so vitally important for our here and now plus for all the generations to come.  Blessings to you and yours!

  3. Hello back from NC…lol…not too far over those mountains. Hoping to eventually wave back from our homestead on the NC side. 🙂 Thanks so much for all the hard work and time you put into your videos. I'm always finding inspiration and knowledge here on your channel and others you've recommended.

  4. Hey Patara, I've really been curious about how you keep breeding your flock. Do you bring in outside roosters or do you inbreed? If you do inbreed, how do you do it without getting defects? I think a video on this subject would be very helpful.

  5. Thanks for sharing all that you do. My wife & I just settled on the Overton/Fentress Co. line up in Wilder. Excited to begin our homesteading journey. Couldn't make it to last year's conference but we are excited to attend this year!

  6. Love the video. We had a nursing home ministry many years ago. I made a two hour video of our chicken yard starting at dawn as the first hen emerged from the pop hole. Without saying a word, I just put it in their video player as we left one Sunday afternoon and we found it playing every time we returned. One day it wasn't playing and I thought they had grown tired of it but I asked anyway. The staff said it was the all time resident favorite and they had played it until it wore out. It had no sound and was very simple but watching livestock is soothing to the soul. Thanks.

  7. This reminds me of why we, too, left the city for the country; could literally feel myself relaxing as I watched. Thanks for the beautiful reminder!

We'll see you on May 6! Can hardly wait!

  8. I have chickens but would love to have a big farm like yours & be able to stay home & do what you do. Love your videos girl. And I love my animals like you. I also have dogs & cats.

  9. What part of TN? Y’all have a beautiful spot! My partner and I are looking for some land somewhere near Hamilton/rhea area. All of our family is located here in FL so we don’t want to be out of a days driving range haha
