I was going to ask how you get such clean eggs! my brother's eggs are often dirty.
They look like the ones is was just looking at this morning. From IA
Love love love them.
Seriously! U r awesome! Working on starting my own homestead…super interested and grateful for ur channel! Keep up the good work!
Those look like they are going to work well. Thanks for the update.
Can you use a homemade vinegar cleaner, or will the vinegar damage/stain the metal? just wondering . 🙂
Love this video, especially love the galvalum nest boxes!!! I have been searching for them everywhere! Can you please give the name of the co-op where you purchased them?!!! so they can possibly put me in touch with the vender. They do not have anything like this at our local co-op. I would really appreciate the connection.
Thanks so much for the info. In Stuarts Draft, VA, there is a Mennonite farm that has a Cheese Shop that has everything wonderful. I might check them out to see if they sell nesting boxes as well.
Wow, great nesting boxes Patera! I'm sure those girls really like them!
nice boxes. I shall check into them.
These are the kind I have (different brand though). They are great. The goat broke off the wooden slats and now the chickens sleep on the top. I don't know how they balance themselves but they do.
The cost of these is equal to the time you spend cleaning and money spent replacing plastic totes when broken! So cool! I can't wait until we can have laying hens!
How smart! I love those! Are there any sharp edges? (Worry about cuts and bumble foot). I'm wondering, too, if they'll be colder in winter, not being on the ground and being metal.
Loved the video, Patara, but there's something you need to know about those boxes: metal gets colder faster than wood so you'll need to keep it warmer in there in the cold months than you are used to.
Love the nesting boxes. I'm thinking about adding that type to my coop
Love em! They will last 4–ever, what a long haul bargain!
I would gladly pay $100 for that. I spend $30 to $50 in wood plus the 2 to 3 hours it takes to make boxes. well worth the $100 for six boxes. Very nice addition to your Homestead.
Those are beautiful.
I love mine!! Got a used 6 nester for $75.00
my chickens will not use them and tried all the tricks.
great stuff, thanks
If you think only about the investment in plastic totes over time this is a good purchase, they look well thought out and made.
With the open back it would be easy to put a hinged door in the hen house wall and collect the eggs from outside the coop.
do u sell ferl eggs
Dang those r nice
