How reusable are those pots? I bought 170 3-5gal traditional plastic pots via craigslist @ 1$ each, which enables me to reuse them
What size pot should I get for a tree to root in for 8 or 12 months? Are there any pots available that you know of big enough that are biodegradable & we could plant the whole pot next year? Not that I mind cutting it off like your pots.
If you are buying a half of a pallet load I guess they aren't cheap. But the size you have are about $1.20 each very comparable to Walmart fabric shopping bags often used in root prunning application. Ross Raddi YouTube uses those bags for his fig trees sometimes and said they dont root prune but the roots grow into the bag. . He complained that they dry out fast and I agree . I keep mine in a plastic tote with water in it and those dried out before I realized it
I have all my small new tree cuttings in grow bags, i intend to keep them small and leave them in bags, will probably have to move up from the 10 gallon ones when they get a bit bigger, was thinking 30 gallon would be good
