VIDEO: High Bionutrient Crop Production with Dan Kittredge Part 1

Dan Kittredge and the Bionutrient Food Association are on a mission to increase quality in the food supply through educating growers, raising awareness among consumers and conducting research on the nature of crop quality and the correlation between soil health, plant health and human health. Join us for part 1 of this 2 day journey of discovery, rethinking how we do things and embracing the possibilities of new horizons in higher quality food.

  1. Theres the Louis Pasteur part of it ya …..but The Germ theory comment is a lil bit of a stretch and incorrect. It was a really huge important discovery when woman in labor would die in/from childbirth in the late 1800s. The Dr. Who would wash his hands before noticed less woman would die……and the other Drs who would handle diseased ridden cadavers before hand etc and then deliver babies without washing their hands would have huge mother death rates. It was from that realization. ….that there was something on the Drs uncleaned hands that was causing the deaths and could be stopped….that saved tens of thousands of lives…then even more when it improved other types of medical procedures. So to call it a silly theory is a lil bit ignorant of the history of how it came about……and how many lives its saved…in the multimillions by now. Germ Theory was once of the greatest discoveries by man…up there with fire, antibiotics and the internet. So I get what he's saying but he can go to the hospital without dying of infection because people arnt spreading bacteria to him with their dirty hands during a simple procedure that would kill someone just a lil over 100 years ago. Eating a bionutrient dense piece of broccoli before hand isn't gonna help that so…..stupid comment.

  2. Globally he is spot on. The germ theory talk needs a bit of work. Maybe it is the concentration of germs or potato beetle or mosquitoes that matter. The swarm method is used by many species to propagate. It can overcome 'normal' defense mechanisms, much like the common cold can overcome our immuno-defenses. If there are more germs than our immune systems can repel, we will get sick, leatherback turtles will survive their march to the sea and the dandelion will send out its seed. Our very own creation uses this method.

  3. Lost me when he tried to denounce germ theory, he does not know what it means. Germ theory says that life does not spontaneously appears in sterile environments – not that all people exposed to a disease agent will get that disease, obviously some are resistant. He needs a basic science education.

  4. Cover crops – Why not use low-growing 'cover crops' as living mulch all season long? White clover and purslane (which is really a vegetable grown in other countries for food) are two that come to mind that do not compete, and tolerate a good bit of foot traffic. Clover also fixes nitrogen into the soil.

  5. On babies and digestion – It is not just a lack of the ideal gut flora… Most of the digestion issues infants in the USA have come from not being fed raw breastmilk. Babies fed highly processed formulas will usually develop issues, even if they got their mother's colostrum.

In addition to crying, babies fed formula STINK. That should tell us something. Babies fed soy-based formula are the fussiest, and stink the most. (Soy formula also gives these babies massive amounts of phytoestrogens every day. Is this wise?)

If that is unavailable, a homemade formula based on unprocessed milk is the 2nd best choice. The Weston A. Price has a good recipe.

  6. Bacteria can excrete just like what they do in the gut.
Caucasian culture also practiced agriculture and has black soil as does Ireland.
Only Africa and Muslim invaded areas lost at agriculture. Also Caucasian microflora has pgpr, pgpf and pgpb to promote plant growth.

  7. Boy, a few minutes in this guy seems awkward as fuck. I don't know if I can listen to hours of this guy when Gabe Brown or someone else is a lot more animated. His speaking style is very… unsure or timid. Not good for public speaking.

  8. blight or other…get sick and rise@ 24:00

  9. (I will {later} review this video to insure my claim is actually valid and not picking on a silly thing, which is possible)
I lost interest when i heard anti-science claims being told as facts. (referring to, sorry I don't remember, I re-skimmed the video and didn't have to time to find what I am referring to. I will re-watch when I have time. If my claim is not worth this comment, I will edit this comment to mention the claim for what it is. I hope I just missed a keyword that lead me to a wrong assumption. )

  10. The soils have been grossly devoid of nutrients since the first plow was put into the ground. This soil regeneration and bionutrients should be practiced by every one in any type of farming/agriculture. This is one of the several reasons that our health has been constantly being destroyed; the lack of nutrients.
