Nice trick using the tape, maybe a sticker one would work better. Can go wrong with the the other bugs to help control squash bugs .
Your garden is Gorgeous! I am following your lead and putting hay down in mine to help with the weeds. Can you hold a small bowl of dawn and water under those squash bug eggs and roll them off into the bowl, to keep them from hatching?

Hey Lea, nice little cucumbers, I like the smaller ones too. Ugh squash bugs.. even though my nemesis is the Squash VINE BORER!! I've seen the tape method used, but I just squish them with my finger wearing gloves… It's a way to relive some of the frustration I guess. I've also notice the eggs on the stems as well. Best luck on your cucumber and squash harvest and battles with the squash bugs. T
