  1. I agree with you 100%, people get fixated on hysteria and they riot instead of doing something constructive to change the world. People feel helpless because of their dependance on political and societal systems, and have adapted to being at their mercy. They can't imagine themselves changing the world, so they get angry and express themselves with violence instead of by making positive changes.
I've been growing and raising food on my farm for two years now, and I've noticed a similar side-effect: I'm living the way that I want to, being the change that I want to see in the world, and I couldn't care less what Donald Trump or the media wants me to be angry about.

    Thanks for the awesome videos!

  2. Best freakin' video I've seen in a while. Far too many out there complaining a lot about politicians on both sides of the ailse, but doing nothing to actually improve their own lives. It's far too easy to sit at a keyboard and bitch and moan than it is to roll up your sleeves and do the hard work that can make your life a happy one.

  3. I'm going to probably sound like a complete moron here, but…
How could anyone possibly believe that anyone, absolutely anyone could, or should quit their job and do what Mr Stone does? I believe it's quite an irresponsible thing to suggest, and unless he is talking solely to his own demographic, totally unrealistic.

I live in an apartment block, in China, with thousands, millions of people around me. How on earth could we all be self sustaining? Most of us can't keep a house plant alive for more than a week, let alone have space to keep more than one.

Where the fuck am I going to put a solar panel?

What would happen if everyone in Mr Stones neighbourhood, took his advice and started growing enough veg to feed their families? What would he do then to pay for cable? He'd probably go back to working in an office like the rest of us.

I've often dreamed about a wonderful world where I can grow my own food, keep bees and other things, but it is a totally unrealistic thought.

I am a Reefer, I like to grow corals, I'd like to make it a business, it would truly be difficult to now though, as the last few years it has grown in popularity and LOTS of people have jumped on the band wagon. If we all did it, we'd never have anything to swap.

I believe Mr Stone is just hoping he can get more people on the band wagon of urban farming so he can sell more tickets to seminars.

I absolutely love the videos though, especially insightful ones like composting and such, great work Mr Stone.

A couple of quick question for you all.

1: If everyone went totally vegan, what would happen to all the farm animals?

2: What generates more pollution, commercial agriculture, or Iphone covers production?

  4. That and the science is still coming in and it looks like the climate models have been off by a substantial percentage. Al Gore just wants your money with his carbon tax.

  5. What you are missing here is that when the shtf people will come take what you have. You will not be able to grow and feed you and your family. Everything matters when it comes to the idiots that make decisions to affect our society. I am not for or against trump they are all the same.

  6. Yes, this is true world and international issues are important. It does have importance, but you don't have influence over it. Thus it doesn't do any good to worry about it. Instead, work on things you do have control over and keep expanding what you have control over. If you have issues with this mentality fine Learn about cause and effect.

"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal" – Earl Nightingale

That's right it takes work towards a goal or ideal; patience and self-disciple to achieve it.

"Luck is when Preparation meets opportunity" Earl Nightingale

Has anyone ever thought that it's just the end of an ice age? Didn't the dinosaurs live in a very hot and tropical world?

Is Genisis History? Do you Believe in the conventional Paradigm theory or a catastrophic Paradigm (aka Genisis Paradigm)?

isn't science and religion the same thing? Seekers of truth.

I find it funny how we so easily confuse theory with Scientific Fact. AKA Truth.
I believe they just confused the scientific method first have a question then research why what and who. not have a theory and find facts to support it. Just makes you think.

    Like Video and Comment. 🙂

  7. Curtis has found success in a capitalist society that creates need for supply and demand. His point is that vision, purpose/goal with hard work can equate to success. The problem he is addressing is where one's focus is. If you focus on politics, the problems in this world and play the blame game then you'll never accomplish jack. It's really the heart of modern liberalism. It's the idea that a larger group has made my life horrible and I need to change others so they can give to me rather looking at oneself and figure out how to change. Listen haters out there, focus on your purpose, create a plan, work hard and you'll find success. It doesn't happen overnight, it takes years.

  8. I agree with this attitude 100%! We need to equip ourselves with actual skills and manage the part of Earth that we have control over in a sustainable way, and stop bitching about what we can't control!

  9. So true I'm tired of making excuses for not growing my own food and living and doing my joy in life. The time is now feel the fear and do it anyway! Create the life you want and be the change that sets great examples for others! Your channel has totally done that and continues to do so. Thank you for the great content!

  10. Perfectly said. Stop being indoctrinated by the mainstream. Besides, global warming is a hoax. It is a mechanism for more control. When you look at it, Donald Trump has actually never said 'climate change is a hoax', yet the headlines in the news says he does ALL THE TIME. Look at examples below.

    Here are his tweets:

    https://ca.images.search.yahoo.com/yhs/search;_ylt=AwrgEZKw2P5acg4ALIsXFwx.?p=donald+trump+climate+change&fr=yhs-skylikes-newtab&fr2=piv-web&hspart=skylikes&hsimp=yhs-newtab&type=zxzaay_4#id=0&iurl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.elitestatic.com%2Fcontent%2Fuploads%2F2017%2F05%2F08013543%2FDonald-Trump-climate-change.jpg&action=click

And here are the mainstream headlines:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/19/world/asia/china-trump-climate-change.html

Turning off your TV is the first step. Then go tear up your lawn and start a new life. In Plato's Republic, Socrates says that the unenlightened slaves need to be dragged up the steep and rugged assent to the light of the Truth. It is only then that we will see ourselves as we truly are, and not mere reflections in the water. Don't be a reflection of yourself. You only get one shot at this life. Don't waste it by being a slave to the machine.

  11. No Effing S*ht !!!
Since buying Curtis's book 2 years ago, I have changed my entire BS based life into something meaningful.
I now grow enough veggies for my family and 6 neighbors.
Even the 92 year old man next door gets out here everyday and picks any weeds that may sprout up !!!
    I LOVE IT !!!!!!

  12. Fossil fuels were formed from plants and animals that became buried and entombed in the earth. How can liberating this carbon back into the biosphere where it originally came from destroy the earth? When CO2 from the burning of fossil fuel is liberated into the biosphere, it once again becomes a part of the carbon cycle where it will become sequestered in living plants and animals again. The planet will become more lush and productive as a result. Get over the guilt of man made climate change. The sky is not falling. The planet will be just fine.

  13. Is Kelowna a decent place to raise children or is it a rich retiree’s refuge? I’m sick and tired of the frozen cow-town, I have cash resources and I’m contemplating about Bc in general. Thanks and keep it up!

  14. “I no longer give a shit about popular fear mongering because I’m living a sound, good life.”

I sincerely wish both sides of the political coin would receive this message. (Especially the left)

  15. I like your attitude but I disagree that you can't care about larger issues while also acting locally. In fact, I think local actions are a great way to cause political change.

  16. On one side of the coin I agree %100. On the other I acknowledge that it comes from a place of privilege to be able to declare such things and live in such a way. The privilege to not have a disability, the privilege to not be a member of an oppressed group or live in a country that is a post apocalyptic hellscape after onslaughts of western bombs wreaking havoc and rendering areas unlivable and soil too toxic to grow in. There should be a middle ground where we take charge of our own lives and situations but also recognize that it is a privilege to do so and strive to help those who cannot help themselves. Sometimes the things politicians say and do directly affects those people. But I agree communities creating food security for themselves is step one.
