It can be intimidating to start a greens garden, especially in the middle of summer! In this video, I show you how to start two types of kale and pak choy, transplant them, and fertilize a garden. It’s packed with little tips and tricks that help me make starting seeds and transplanting easy.
This video was made possible by Garden Maker Naturals, who provided their awesome organic fertilizers for me to test out in my garden. In short, I loved them. They’re all organic and have different formulations for different needs — citrus, all-purpose, etc.

These fertilizers aren't vegan. How can I get a vegan fertilizer?
Is this Particular Fertilizer good for Pepper plants?
Great video! ☺
For the life of me I can't figure out how you didn't blast seeds all over after you put them in the tray, or flatten the seedlings when you watered them in after you transplanted. Because that's what I do, unless I use a mister or teeny spray. I slaughter them. I'm envious and mystified.
I'm curious, why didn't you let them grow larger?
Which trays are these?
That tomato plant on the right has seen better days…it's all wilted!
Great video…really enjoy it as i do all your videos…love the details…what works for me I grow my kale and all my leafy greens in containers…unfortunately the ones I planted in my raised beds were destroyed by bugs and slugs…disappointed…a lot of gardening heart when into it…but I will try your method perhaps it will work for me…all the best from NY
i love that even though your methods have advanced so much now (2021) looking back at these older vids is still so relevant and helpful
