That technique w/the fabrics is new for you? I've been doing that all season and I would have sworn I got it from you. Glad it is working for you.
Have you been shade clothing the arugula to help it resist bolting after the second cut? I've found watering it immediately after cutting so it stays cool and doesn't stress as hard, reducing the bolt chance.

Mr. Stone, I also grow Arugula all year round here in Lee County, FL, temps between 95F-110F with daily rains and high humidity. So to not stress my plants I use a few layers of window screen places about 2 feet above the beds to cut back the UV and heat. Its a bit more work but I can get 3 to 5 harvest this way. I also do the same for my Butter Crunch Lettuce and Spinach. I also get the screen free from a local company as they have loads of it they trash. Could be something to look into.
Anyway, thank you for your wonderful videos and inspiring myself and so many others into urban farming be it for cash or self use. Be well, safe and happy farming.

The reason overhead watering seems to be better is that it gets oxygenated as it is being sprayed. If you use a tank to store water you can simply oxygenate the water in there with an air or water pump to move water around and up to the surface of the tank for gas exchange.

Hey Curtis. I wanted to get into farming for recreational purposes. Really I think our economy is going to have the biggest crash in all of history within the next year, so I'm prepping. My grandparents own 15 acres of land in Missouri here in the states. My grandpa agreed to give me 1 acre to farm (Which is more than I need I think.) I have 2 questions. To start, the town where the land is has a population of 2k people and it's a 3 hour drive to the closest major city. I know I'll have to sell some of my harvest so that I can break even and replant. I only want to break even so I can keep as much food stocked as possible while eliminating my expense collumn. Second, how long can I freeze greens for?? Or are there better ways to store greens like lettus, basil, turnips ect?

Great videos. How many bins do you fill from one 30" x 50' row of salad greens? Looks like 3 would do it. I can fit 6 bins in a 21 cu ft chest freezer with a temp controller. $600 at H Depot, might get 2 then I'm set for pastured pork when I scale up to a walk-in.
Do you order custom landscape fabric that is already 36" wide?
I ordered some Arugula seed. I am going to try it when either my radishes come out in a few days or when I get my poatatoes out in a couple of weeks. Fall is comming it will be nice to mix with my lettuces for salads.

How do you split the water bill for the plots you rent? I'v watched most of the videos on your channel and I can't recall if you have mentioned that.
If You don't need the ground You can wait till the weather cools. Cut old arugula new one will grow back without the flowers. We successfully grow arugula seeded last year spring and it still gives decent yield – middle europe
Hey Curtis, thanks for your videos! I notice there is not always a net on your arugula… is the flea beetle only an occasional threat in your area? especialy since you're hot and dry these days… over here they poke holes in just about all cruciferous vegetables leaves the minute they are not covered!
I know you have try some stuff with shade cloth before. But have you considered it over your arugula.
A 18 inch wide strip would still allow great air movement and watering overhead should still work.

Some questions re: the paperpot string.
You said you are pulling out the paperpot strings – whats your reason behind that? Just that you don´t want residue? Or the glue not decomposing? What do you do with the pulled out strings? Can you safely compost them? Any idea how long they take to break down when left in the soil?
