I got the zinnias from your last year recommend flower. It is almost impossibly easy just threw the seeds and they came up first year and flowers are just as big as yours in first year. And they love sun. The few I tried in shade were a lil stunted. But still growing!!

I planted those zinnias from your recommendation and they are absolutely stunning! Thank You! My new favorite flower!! They lift my spirits and sometimes I just pull up a chair and sit by them and watch the bees and butterflies. I will plant them every year.

the giant california zinnias they sell are amazing. The marigold double bloom mix is very nice blooms but as far as being a mix its 95% orange.

Loved this video. I am growing the Bright Lights this year. I wish I could send you a picture of my Autumn Beauty sunflower I planted from seeds I got at Baker Creek this year. It is SO beautiful. You should give it a shot next year. Tons of blooms starting on it and one of the most beautiful blooms open on top right now. Shades of red/orange/burgundy with hints of yellow here and there. Thanks for sharing this video, Patara. I am gonna get me some of those Cosmo Velouette for next year now that I see how pretty they really are.

I LOVE baker creek seeds! I bought a bunch for my fall garden with awesome germination rates. Cant wait to order a bunch for spring! What is awesome about them is that prices are very affordable for rare varieties without bulk amounts of seeds. Makes you feel better when u want to buy and test many varieties for the small gardener.
I always plant zinnias in my garden, along with marigold and sunflowers; I used to plant seashell cosmos. This year I will try the bright lights. I just love your gardens! I am hoping mine will someday be as productive as yours!
Patara, how do you plant your flower seeds in the woodchips? I am a little nervous to do it this year because I have never done it before.

we planted bright lights cosmos one year and i was unimpressed but everyone always commented about how they were their fave..
