  1. Thank you so much for this video! Im entering the urban farming space from a permaculture design perspective, looking for a practical way to provide value now while investing in the future. Im developing a decentralized urban farming cooperative and looking for resources to take this through a tangible planning process. All this information is helpful!

  2. That was really interesting, thanks. Maybe in the future you could look at some of the chefs who are working with local farmers and what they are doing with specific crops and what they look for.

  3. Thanks for a great video! Very happy Richard and Yohanna's Farm was mentioned. Ridgedale makes the most sense to me of any farm and has inspired me to move from a hobby gardener to a full-time farmer. I do have one critique of this video (and of many videos in this realm). I feel the partners/wives of these 'famous male farmers' deserve more recognition. Instead of saying 'his' farm and only mentioning his name, I think we need to be better at stating both names and saying 'their' farm (if that's the case). I don't believe that many of these businesses could exist if it wasn't for the hard work and commitment of partners/spouses/wives. In the case of Jenny, why wouldn't she want to be working directly in the fields just because she has kids? Should men not want to work in the fields just because they have kids? Let's talk about gender roles as progressively as we talk about farming! It would be cool if someone made a video about the parters of some of these famous farmers or a video about 10 female (which could even include non-binary) famers who are also 'crushing it'.

  4. I was feeling pretty down about the state of of the world earlier this year. But learning about permaculture, seeing people like you two, and all these farmers really gives me hope. Thank you you both for these inspiring videos.

  5. You are sup-urban-ly wonderful!! One thing that would really help me would be if I could know WHERE each of the farmers are, climate-wise, at each youtube-post. I farm in Sweden and really need, alas! to winnow out those who grow lemons, peaches, or have growing seasons of 5 months!

  6. Sorry to write so much. Fascinating: the prejudice against tractors, as doing more ecological harm than good. Is this a general feeling among ecological market gardeners?

  7. Have either of you visited Polyface Farm in Virginia. Each aspect of the farm is cutout into individual businesses. I think this is super interesting.

  9. I seen you had a video on climate change….lol have you ever heard of weather engineering? They literally have a website for it. It’s been around for almost 100 years. No such thing as climate change
