Real Squirrels???
I love your Nana
So sweet. Love me some dumplins.
Priceless!
Nana brought back so many memories of my own Grandma! They both have very similar ways about the kitchen and cooking. Watching this video just melted my heart.
Thank you, these look just like my grannie's dumplings!
hi I just ran across this….. This is just like how my grannie did them. so glad you have this video.
Have you ever tried adding cubed potatoes to s t r e t c h them? that is how my grandpas mom did them way back when(he was born is 1909!)
Your Nanna and my Mom must be sister's from a different mother. Brought back memories, been 23 this year she's been gone.
I think the lard you are talking about is called Snow Cap.
This is awesome. Nana has a beautiful face.
This is how exactly I make mine.Good minds think alike.Thank you NANA .
These videos by Nana are great for two reasons. .1. How to make to make dumplings ,and 2. I love a living history of your folks. Both great lessons for us all – inspirational.
These are just like my Mom-mom used to make
Spry
Yum!
Oh my goodness with the Tupperware salt shaker. My aunts and mom all have theirs from the 80s too.
I was raised in Oliver Springs, TN. And watched my grandmother make crackling bread. Would love to watch a video of your nana Mack some. Where do you get crackling ???
Thank you Nana for making the comment on the fingernail polish that was priceless that is one of the things you learn when you're doing your food ServSafe course. you're not to have nail polish on nor any rings and I see it time and time again women in the kitchen wearing polish and having rings on and they get paid thousands and not one of them has ever said anything about it being a No-No why because it's usually on their fingers and the rings are usually on their hands so it goes to show their learning haha so thank you nana
I sure love dumplings… thank you for this tutorial!
Loved the recipe
Seems everyone has a Nana. Mine made round dumplins.
Gonna try those up here in Canadaland!!!
Sweet Nana, thank you so much for showing us how to make those dumplings. I shall try your recipie.
Patara your Nana is so special. Her dumplings look delicious. What a treasure she is.❤️
Never had that before. I'm going to try it. Bread and biscuits are my weakness. The greens on the side sounds good too.
Adorable! Wish l could have learned more from my granny. There's 12 hrs & hundred's of miles between us. And, unfortunately, she's going thru early stages of dementia. When l was very young, l believed, (& still do) that she made the "Best" Biscuits & Gravy in the entire world. Was dropped off @ her house, before school, mom had to be to work so early. Would sit @table, while she made Biscuits & Gravy. Always loved her Chicken & Dumplings too. l make mine w/"Drop Biscuits". Yum!
She doesn't cook anymore & can barely remember how to cook a sweet potato (her fav), in a microwave. Had to drop out of school in 4th grade, go to work in fields, to help family. Therefore, there was no writing down recipes.
