  1. Great video, you will enjoy the your new bee adventure. You will have some ups and downs, especially when your whole hive decides to swarm and you lose all of them, believe it happens. I would stay with the mid size frame and boxes the boxes are pretty heavy when they are full of honey, I have kept bees off and on for 40 years. The stings hurt less and less the more you get. Good luck.

  2. The best of luck being a Bee Keeper. You will do great i'm sure.Have fun.I love Savannah Bee Company and the Tupelo Honey. They have a whole line of Bee products.Take care you all.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡………

  3. I came across another video about setting up bees for the first time. They said you need to leave them completely alone for a week, so they settle in and call your bee house home. Good luck on your Bee Adventure, many of us will be excited to follow along with you.

  4. it's a bit sad that I live vicariously through you. thank you for sharing. the only thing I'm able to do regarding bees is to help the ones that get tired, the ones that crash to the ground. I mix up a small amount of sugar water for them to drink to pep them up; I keep them warm when it's chilly outside, by blowing my warm breath into my cupped hands around them. usually only deal with one bee at a time, but I find them frequently in my tiny yard. I help when I can.

  5. Glad you had a good time here in Georgia! Bees have been kept on our farm years ago on a sort of barter arrangement as there is sourwood here. We do have lots of healthy bees and an active colony in an actual Winnie the pooh hole in a sycamore tree!
The family loves honey and we buy local, but have been nervous to try this. My Dad carried an epipen for a bee allergy and I can still see the reaction he had after cycling into a traveling swarm.

  6. Really glad you are adding the Ham Radio to the conference! We are hams in our house. I've been a ham since 1992, Kd6saj, that's my call sign. Great thing to learn. I love bees too. I taught Bee Keeping to 4Hers a couple years ago. Great stuff.
