If you need more space than your own yard then ask your neighbors if you can garden part of their yards they aren't using.

I have a few questions. How deep do I need to put the wood chips? And at they decompose do you at more chips? Or do they never fully decompose? My wife and I did strawbale gardening last year. Not set want to try this instead.
You're my favorite channel to watch, because you are more real than the other gardeners out there. I had channels I loved watching but they sold out and started promoting things more and more. I love that it's you genuinely wanting to help educate and get people growing. In my area everyone lives off of fast food and thinks I'm insane. Even our family acts like were aliens. But I love it and would choose this life over mcdonals and clubbing anyday. Do you have any recommendations on pest prevention? I would live to see that. Squash bugs and tomato horn worms are my worst enemy here in NC zone 7b.

Do you have a good organic remedy for cedar apple rust? I didn’t realize a tree I got from Home Depot had rust spots on it, now all of my apple trees, and a few mature trees in my orchard have it.

How do you stop animals eating most of your produce? Everyone who has tried growing fruit in my suburb either gave up or spent money on expensive netting to keep the birds, possums, mice and rats from eating them.

An idea for you James: Have you seen the video commercials for the plastic peat filled root ball propagator? Maybe you could create something better for cheaper for those poor bastards to dumb to dig for gold. Nah, but seriously, propagation is the way to go! I've spent a couple grand on a half acre and, I still have a lot of ground to fill. It's time to start duplicating stuff!
Got a question: I'm NOT an "organic" gardener and I don't want to be one. I enjoy chemicals and fertilizers and, I don't care. My question is about turning mulch or not turning mulch. I live on basically "sugar sand" with an 18" layer of compost from mulch a top of it. Instead of adding more wood chips, I've turned to collecting the neighborhood's yard waste and using that. What about the nitrogen cycle? Do I need to add more urea or 10-10-10 to the soil to compensate for the breakdown time?
I have used Garden of eden method for years. My main issue is pill bugs. Diatomaceous earth is a remedy but doesn't work great because they are underneath. Last year they destroyed all the roots of my plants. I was bummed.
