This is absolutely useful!
Thanks Curtis, very helpful info. You answer questions that are relevant to my circumstance so cool thank you.
Very usefull info and by the way, you do have great audio and make great videos, im very greatfull
Great video I'm slowly trying to look at land so I know what I'm doing when I actually buy some! Thanks!
Social equity is powerful
So cool to see an evaluation of this urban option juxtaposed with the semi-rural large farm option in your last video. Great content! I already have property for a small market garden with its own challenges, but these ideas are still thought provoking.
@UrbanFarmer: I really enjoyed your video tutorial on Prospecting for Property via Google Earth. Very informative & useful. Thank you for sharing.
Great tips man! You can never go wrong by giving your neighbors good eggs & veggies, especially if they are leery of your operations.
Hi Curtis. I think you might find this interview interesting. GMOs, Glyphosate & Gut Health
Why is your Google Earth much better then mine?
I would be looking for land out in the country.
Heya Curtis, whats your take on using molasses as a feed for the veggies?
You are just a wealth of knowledge and experience!
I kept waiting for you to bring up this feature but it might not fit your context. You can use the historical satellite images on google earth to get a little bit of history of the site. This may be more useful in a semi-rural context where you can see if the field was used to grow crops, pasture cattle, store junk, was used for parking, had standing water, etc.
Curtis, when you're so inclined, using Video II of this series, would you tell us about the accompanying iiration plan, resources for JM-like greenhouse, and your proposed timelines from settlement date to first harvest. I realize all this is theoretical but it's also super helpful and you are a careful thinker. Thank you for your many continuing efforts.
I agree with you Mio I bet they too watch his video's.
Wow, google earth has really come a long way sense I last used it. Thanks for posting these videos, you really are give top notch content.
You might find this book interesting, it's a bit lower tech than what you do but I got it about a month ago and love it so much http://bit.ly/TheLostWaysOfHomesteading
Thanks for all the tips on finding land. I've been looking the last two weeks! Getting closer, Google Earth has been huge.
PLEASE READ
I’m a grade 11 student and I’m very interested in business and being involved in business is something I want to do when I’m older, I live around your area and id love to work for you, I’ll do it for free. I myself have a small garden and I’d love to be mentored by you
Curtis! I maxed out my . 08 acre of farmable land in my urban lot and got inspired by your channel to seek out some empty lots in my neighborhood to farm in exchange for veggies. Nothing to lose but my labor of love. Thanks!
