VIDEO: Nubian Goat BIRTH from Start to Finish! | Roots and Refuge Farm

My Nubian doe, Pesky, gave birth today and I’m bringing you guys along for the process. Goat Kidding is generally a hands off event, unless there is an emergency, but most goat owners like to stick around just in case. If nothing else, who doesn’t love to experience the miracle of life!

Today I’m talking about what I take to the goat barn, what I’m looking for in labor and I’m showing you Pesky bring her new kids into the world.

  1. What an amazing video! My 6 year old just watched this with me and he was so amazed at how a baby is born. I love that you were able to get a video of such a precious moment in life. I know that you were kind of disappointed last year when you stayed up most of the night and still missed one of your girls kidding. But this video is a great teaching tool for us home school mommas who want to teach about birth and don't have any animals that can have babies.
