  1. Thanks for the info. I noticed you don't support your plants, unless I missed it. Also I starting a small spot for raspberries and was thinking of getting some plants from a few locations that had old homesteads on them. Wondering if there is anything wrong with my thinking?   3. Thanks for the simple explanation of trimming black raspberries.
    I wish you would have said something about how many new canes to leave from each clump. I read somewhere to leave 3 to 4 of the healthiest canes per plant. Maybe yours is so dense that you can't distinguish individual clumps but then what about spacing?

  4. Thanks for this information. I have ever bearing plants and have been pruning the new canes in the summer and couldn't figure out why I wasn't getting a fall harvest.
