  1. I'm down with everything except the monthly fee is clearly bogus and would keep me in the old coolbot camp…which I am. I just use a wireless temperature transmitter module and I'll do things the old fashioned way. I should say, I haven't had a problem with freezups so for someone who is I suppose this could pay out.

  2. curtis check out mr teslonian, isothermally charged gas via a water ram… isothermally charged gas into a walkin cooler = ac less and cool bot less charged interior… best thing is you don't need it freezing… could save u some $$$$ any way i know ur a urban farmer and may not be economical for u, but still check it out its SCHWEET!!! thank you for your trade secrets 😉

  3. Curtis, thank you for being selective on the products you do endorsement vids for. There are a few channels I've unsubscribed and won't watch anymore because their channel has basically just become a stream of infomercials.

  4. What’s the cost of running an ac like this as a refrigerator? Seems less efficient than just buying a used one. Running those small ac units costs a lot here. What’s the cost comparison? Anyone know?

  5. Hey Curtis, do you know that there are examples of EU citizens who are afraid to speak their mind in front of a camera in Europe? This may be no news to you, however there are some from Germany who travel to Canada simply to comment on politics, then they publish their presentations on YouTube?!? No, I am not talking about radicals or that kind of people. I mean people who simply look at politics from all aspects and possible aspects. I didn't know that until recently.

    Thanks!!

  6. I think, too many things are geared towards phone apps. nowadays, so as to upgrade a product that doesnt need to be replaced yet. It adds to tech waste.
I do like the original product; it has a place.

  7. Off topic. I heard you say, on richard perkins video, to scale up market gardening you need to get away from 30" beds. Would love for you to go into it a little deeper. What would you suggest in for an bigger scale market garden.

  8. The cool bot made sense to us after replacing our second compressor in our walk in. The problem is getting someone out quickly and for our size unit it was about $900 with parts and labor. The nice thing with the coolbot is it is simple to change out a window a/c unit in a very short period of time. In the winter I use a chicken heat lamp on a thermostat to keep the greens from freezing. I set the cool bot temp up a little and the heat lamp a few degrees above freezing and they do a good job. This is only necessary when it's really cold in north georgia and usually only at night. My only complaint about the cool bot system vs standard walk in compressor is it takes longer for the cool bot to get the produce temp down. This was a ok trade off for us. We are not made of money on our farm but sometimes diy stuff is not worth the time and head aches. That is my most valuable resource…time. Thanks for all the great video Mr. Stone.

  9. Something you didn't mention, Curtis, that is a real factor, is that every time you open the door to check on the temperature you increase the temperature inside the walk-in again. It's been estimated 10-degrees F. So being able to check from OUTSIDE the walk-in saves tons of electrical energy and wear and tear on the produce. Not to mention human energy and time.

  10. Hi Curtis. I was watching your online course material about the walk-in coolers. I had an idea that might help? You mentioned it is a pain to have to move stuff around inside, could you use a furniture dolly that you can stack your totes on? You may need to build a ramp so you can wheel in and out a stack of totes. You could also wheel them over to your transport saving on-time picking up and putting down your individual totes as much. Just a thought? Loving the course, highly recommend.

  11. I think it’s a great product when used in the right application. No matter how good the controller is, the equipment is still being abused by running outside of its engineered parameters. Some people don’t understand this and blame the controller when they don’t get their expected results.
