I have never heard of this! Great project for granddaughter and me this weekend. When cooking do you shell the beans or cook them as is?
I kept reading and found the link below for cooking. I can't wait to do this this weekend!

I have always heard that they was called string beans but never never ever knew this is where they got that name. No wonder they called them this. I just never thought about why they called them that. I’m learning. Oh now I have heard of snap beans. I knew they was called that because I remember seeing this done. Thanks a lot

i would love to try this. once they are completely dry, do you continue to keep them hanging or do they get stored in something airtight like a jar? anyone?

Patera I am so glad that you're healthy and all clear! You are SUCH an inspiration to me, and I am so grateful you take time to give back to the community. My bean harvest was miserable this year, so I won't ahve much to string up. Hopefully it'll be better next year.
It's so humid here ( Ohio) not sure they would dry.
