  1. I have always heard that they was called string beans but never never ever knew this is where they got that name. No wonder they called them this. I just never thought about why they called them that. I’m learning. Oh now I have heard of snap beans. I knew they was called that because I remember seeing this done. Thanks a lot

  2. Thank you for sharing this im particularly interested in food preservation that doesnt involve pressure canners as theyr not available in the uk and very expensive to import

  3. Thank you Patara! I showed my husband that this is how they preserved beans before canning. I told him I just don't watch YouTube just to watch, I watch to learn. 😉 Thanks for sharin', filling my brain files and felt oddly relaxed watchin' them leather britches getting strung. 🙂

  4. Patera I am so glad that you're healthy and all clear! You are SUCH an inspiration to me, and I am so grateful you take time to give back to the community. My bean harvest was miserable this year, so I won't ahve much to string up. Hopefully it'll be better next year.

  5. I have never seen this method before. Now I am curious to see what they look like and how they cook up for your Christmas dinner. Thanks for sharing

  6. Great video, I want to try it soon. Please forgive me if this is an odd question, about how many feet of leather britches would a bushel of beans make? I really enjoy the channel.
