  1. we have the last 15 days or so rain off and on here in Virginia in zone 7 I worked 8 hours so far today and I am done then out in the hot sun preparing my beds and removing all the weeds that grow to get ready for the fall Garden

  2. Thank you so much for this video. We turned our front yard into a garden and are facing the same problem with our beds. We mixed in a bunch of amendments to help boost it but it continues to crack on us. Our summer crop did fine but we had to constantly hoe to ensure proper water penetration. Now that we are prepping for winter I can't wait to try this method. Thank you for sharing!

  3. You the man Curtis. Two questions. Do you notice a big difference in the grass and weeds in your greenhouse beds over the garden beds that are exposed to the open air? Also do you keep up with the Grand Solar Minimum and If it does get as cold as they are saying at what temp would it have to get before it impacted growing for you?

  4. I have no questions about it, but I love that garden fork :). I have always sown my carrots into a layer of compost. I do the same with other root vegetables too, like parsnip.

  5. I was going to ask why not use the bcs,but you answered my question without needing to ask. Your greenhouse beds are not your standard width so it makes sense that you were planning on using the tilther. I like how you're beds are turning out with that new bed finishing roller. I intend to get my CBS this fall and I'm definitely adding that to the tiller. No need for buying the tilther. I was a bit surprised you didn't put down some kind of cover crop in those open beds but I'm certainly not going to give you a bad time about it. You probably had a reason or as the old saying goes " shit happens" . Anyway, your looking happy and upbeat, good to see. Keep up the great work.

  6. How long did it actually take to fork that whole bed? In the video it took less than 5 seconds. Did it take about 30 minutes? If so that was fast. It was less than an hour though, right?

  7. What about manure-based compost that has a much higher nitrogen content? Are there not any good local sources for chicken manure-based compost? Or are there food safety regulations that prevent you from using such a product?

  8. What is your opinion on using gypsum for heavy clay soil? I wish I hadn't wasted 7 years not knowing what a miracle gypsum is. I tried to fix my soil by just adding more and more carbon(manure, compost, mulch, etc) hoping that the biome would do the rest, but with a sprinkling of gypsum my soil is softer and light than literally adding several tonnes of carbon material.
