Herbal Lemon Balm Syrup: (via thenerdyfarmwife.com)
Place about 3/4 cup lemon balm leaves into a small pot and add enough water to just cover the leaves.
Simmer, covered partially, until the liquid is reduced in half.
Strain out & compost the leaves.
While still quite warm, measure out about 1/2 cup of the concentrated tea and stir 1/4 cup raw honey into it.
Add more honey to taste, if you wish.
Store in the refrigerator for about 3 days.
Dose by the spoonful at night to help calm and relax. (Honey should not be used with children under 1 year old.)
Note: You can make larger or smaller batches – keeping a ratio of about 2 parts lemon balm infusion to 1 part honey.

  1. I love the ending to this video. Such a great way to think, how you will get better at it every year and to just relax. I am just at the beginning of our families homestead dream and I will definitely remember your beautiful words.

  2. I'm a trucker not a homesteader. Just stumbled onto your videos, and I have to say that I really enjoy watching and listening to your stories and ideas. You have a down home rythym and are easy to understand. Keep up the good work and good luck!

  3. Daniel you are so Welcome to come & stay with us if ever you come to Brisbane Australia.
We live in a sub-tropical gorgeous climate & we have a small garden that you would enjoy.
Just Love your music so please come on over. Cheers Denise – email is denise@brady.solutions

  4. I accidentally came across your channel (Is anything really accidental, knowing how our Lord works?). I'm so happy I did. Subscribed to your channel this morning and we're excited to get to know you all. Marsha and I had a 46 acre hobby farm in the hills of NW PA, but when our kids grew up and moved out we moved to the city. I am the pastor at Titusville Church of Christ and Marsha works hard with the congregation and me to serve the body of Christ and the community. We're YouTubers also, but our channel is our Church channel. Thanks for your online testimony of God's goodness. May He continue to richly bless you and your family. Yours in Christ – Jim (Jim & Marsha Moore – Titusville, PA)

  5. Please look into Ruth Stout method! Simple use of hay. There is a youtube video of her in her old age. She was a very unique lady. I remember in HS I got my dad a subscription to organic gardening and there were several articles about her in them. She is before the back to eden method.

  6. Do you make goat milk soap?  My great-niece does and it's wonderful!!  My dry skin isn't an issue since I've been using it.  My favorite scent is lavender.  They don't have any goats now 🙁 but she did freeze a lot of milk.

  7. Thank you for tamping down our panic demon 🙂 It is great to know I am not the only panic ridden person. Thank you so much for sharing the difficulties as well as the successes!

  8. Praise GOD for Daniel, he is an amazing person, I really wish I could meet him someday. Your videos are a thing I watch every day, keep them coming. Love from south central Kentucky

  9. Catnip tea is good too and of all the mints, it is the best mint for upset stomachs. Dilute 1 tsp with a wee bit of sugar in 1/4 cup of warm water for colic (babies ). It’s an old herbal remedy.
