  1. I always milked by hand and When the electricity was out my hands were used to it and it was not hard to do. We drank our milk raw too, and my kids were healthier than other kids and did not get sick as often as other kids. I did run my equipment through the dishwasher with a heat dry cycle to keep equipment clean. Because you see your cow every day you can watch her to make sure she is not sick. What will you do with all the milk?

  2. Drinking raw milk is the best & so better for the gut health. My husband was put on raw goat milk for his colon. He had colon cancer & now he is tested twice this year & all tests were negative. Thank the good Lord for the healing of goat milk. Congratulations on your beautiful farm. You milk so good. Sad you lost a glass jar. The jars here in the Washington state is sparse here also. Love watching your video. 🙂

  3. I cool my milk the way the Rhodes do. I put half gallon jars of milk In cooler of ice water right after milking…. Then you can forget about it and not worry. I use plastic liter bottles filled with water to freeze then just change them out to keep water in cooler ice cold. Works great for chilling milk fast. Then you won’t have to worry about broken jars.. Great channel, you guys inspire me!

  4. My daughter brings home gallon jars from the pizza shop she works in. Check those kinds of places and if your a member of Costco or Sam's Club they have pickles and olives in those big jars. We love both so I have the empty jars from those purchases.

  5. You may want to make sure your jars are tempered glass. Going from cow's body temperature to freezer may be what broke your let broke your jar. Canning jars are tempered glass.

  6. We've been drinking our milk (cow and goat) raw for 25 years. I agree with you about the milking machine. I can wash my hands much faster than I can sanitize the milking machine components. We have it in case of emergency, but rarely use it.

  7. JARS!!!! Go to your local big box store and buy gal jugs of pickles. They are processed in gal jars. Even if you done eat the pickles you still gain the jar. The rooster looks like a Stanford.

  8. When people spill their alcohol, they say "alcohol abuse" – When you spill milk it must be "milk abuse" or esp. in your case 'save the milk'! Hope you heal quickly and find the Chiropractor the Lord wants for you!
