  1. We discovered right from the beginning with our Paperpot transplanter that having a partner really speeds things up. Only thing more efficient is training your children to help because they are closer to the ground! As for getting rid of the chains whatever is left on top after I power harrow I burn off when I torch the bed. Sometimes when you are pulling the previous crop the chains come right out nice but if they don’t I just leave them. After the harrow hits them they are all about 2 inches long and not an issue.

  2. That's a great observation, Curtis: when hiring people, you're paying 100% tax, easy. When hiring a robot or tech, you're only paying taxes on the profit…if you even choose to make a profit (which, why would you).

So this "government for the people" is the main driver for shutting people out of jobs.

  3. I really like what your currently doing on your vids. It's really great to see what others are doing because just about everyone has a slightly different situation and this current way of doing vids do exactly what most new farmers need to know. Keep up the great work. And I'm curious like some of the others as to why they paper pots can't be certified.

  4. Hey Curtis I thought I might be able to reach you via your most recent post.
A video you did a week ago which was titled there's something on my mind you brought up Alex Jones and the censorship and how even showing people how to make money off of the land could be wrong speakeventually someday maybe, I was wondering if you've ever heard of the unslaved podcast one of the guys is actually stationed in Vancouver I do believe. so just wondering if you've ever heard of them because they cover some risque topics and also some alternative history as well, trust me I also have my reserved feelings about Michael tsarion and for the most part I think he's a interesting character and a very well-researched individual just wondering if you've ever heard of the unslaved podcast good day Curtis and thank you for all that you do much love

  5. Knew he had to be german!;) after a week of decomposing after harvest, does the jang have any trouble pushing through the paper pots? I would guess not. I plan to do a lot of transplants next year, and may put the paperpot on the investment list for 2020. Thanks for the great content.

  6. Hi Curtis. Love your stuff. Awesome information with very little unecessary gabble.

I am curious, however. How does the paperpot planter work with landscape cover matetial? Or is the use of row covers not something you do anymore?

    Thanks
    Jen

  7. I'm just getting started with the paperpot system. One thing I would love to see is wider spacings. If there's impetus to make the pots bigger, wider spacings would be more than welcome as well I should think.

  8. 1. Can you make paper pots that are more than 6in apart?
    2. Does the machine do curves? I am asking because edible landscaping will sometimes involve designs that are curved and not just straight lines.

  9. Now this is what I wanted to do back when I was a 'kid' reading the Whole Earth Catalog. This shows how old I am. Now, I just don't think the body will take it but what a great way to farm!

  10. Curtis
Honestly tell me, does this paper pot transplanter need smooth seedbed to work right because we have lumpy seedbeds and we don’t want to invest $ in something that will fail
