  1. To be honest, I can't thumbs up this thing for being clever. Instead I have to thumbs up this thing for being BRILLIANT!!! You basically had ZERO waste of materials, using the scraps for anchors was absolutely superb! Another hidden gem in your treasure trove of gardening videos. Who needs gardening books for Christmas, when there's your channel all year long!? lol

  2. Mark, this is so great. It's exactly what I have been wanting to do and now I don't even have to figure out the most economical way to do it!

I wondered if you could give me some pointers. We just moved and have 3.5 acres to play with. Our ground is red clay with barely anything growing throughout it. I have a nice long winding driveway where many trees hang over and have several years worth of decomposing leaves that have accumulated on both sides. I thought about going with a wheelbarrow and scooping all of it up and laying over the area I'd like to make nice rich soil in. Would this method work quicker than starting with fresh dead leaves/mulch and how long would you anticipate it would take to be good enough to plant right onto the ground in the leaf mold/mulch? Also, what would you do for your first year garden without having enough time to give the beneficial bacteria, fungus, etc to make the clay plant friendly? I was considering doing your cow panel idea but I don't know that I'll have enough leaf mold to do very many. Thank you so much for your wonderful channel. I absolutely love the science behind all of this and you do an amazing job educating the masses. When you really think about all the things that we have been taught to do, it doesn't make much sense at all! I'm so glad people like you work to spread the awareness. I didn't know what I didn't know :).

  3. I have been making this type of tunnel out of just plastic pipe but your design is a lot better and easer to open. Thanks for making this video.

  4. Fabulous. Most hinged row covers only open to one side and attach covers with wood and screws. I love concept of being able to open from either side and being able to switch or double up cover types (insect, bird, plastic, Agribond/Remay) easily. BRILLIANT!
