I had a go at growing a big marrow this year, you know – just for fun. Well it turned out that I did get quite precious about it and I think I’ve been bitten by the ‘BIG’ bug. I’m definitely gonna have another go next year. Big is the new small it seems.

I had an idea that your marrow was touching the ground when it was on the scales. Perhaps if you weighed it again you might find it is heavier than you thought.

Looked like it was touching the ground, I bet if you put it on its end you would get a more accurate weight.
good effort mate; personally I can't stand marrows (to eat that is) nice to have a challenge for yourself next year.
