Yup, I agree. Composting will build your soil and make plants grow. Especially if you can find a source of animal manure to add to start the cooking. Thanks for the great video.
If I lived nearby, I'd love to help you work in your yard…super cool stuff man. Thanks for your channel.
You and tuck are doing a great job
I just looked at someone else’s channel regarding composting. He has a rat problem in his compost pile. What do you do to discourage infestations of rats and mice?
Who is singing?
I have 2 questions: 1. Why do you cover the compost pile with a tarp? 2. What air temperature is required to start and or cook a compost pile? I am in NE Wisconsin and right now we have over a foot of snow cover.
James prigioni has a good video on Composting also Charles Downing. Check it out !
I really enjoyed the info. I also like composting. It is fun and the plant food you get is the best. I get great healthy earthworms and other grubs which I feed to the bluebirds that nest in my bluebird house.
I've been really digging the music. Is this you? Where can I find it?
I also like watching things break down. Why is it so fascinating?
I watched your video where you made a compost pile with wire. I did the same last year and just went to use it and it was frozen in the middle. I am in Canada and about zone 4-5 and not sure what zone you are in, but I thought pretty far north in U.S. so do you find the same. or am I just trying to use it too early
Is there another follow up video showing how it broke down to the end? I couldn’t find one 🙁
Hello do you need a tarp for hot composting?
Will you make a video on how to create a wooden compost bin for people with limited space and protection from animals and dogs?
Whoooaaa, James, I had no ideea the pile would get steaming so fast! I followed your recipe, and was amazed how it was cooking! It went cold after a while, was able to start it up again, but unfortunately went cold again. I'm in no hurry to use the compost, so I just turn it once in a while. I'm noticing lots of ants when turning it, like a colony, with eggs and all. I feel bad for disturbing them, but I was wondering if their presence is something to worry about in the later use of my compost…
Your energy is great! I love what you do, so inspiring.
Aeration is important but you smother your pile with a tarp – my brain hurts – I guess gardeners don't science much
nice forking video
Love the song when mixing sooo inspirational
James. I promise I looked at the compost content but Tuck's running around had me riveted. What had him so busy?
One man’s junk is another woman’s treasure
I might enjoy composting more than gardening at this point. I’m obsessed a little.
Hello just wondering if there was a PO Box address for James that we could send stuff to?
Love everything you do. And everyone who helps you. Really beautiful music. Thanks so much.
Tuck approved of course! I keep returning back to rewatch and learn. Love the music. Is it yours?
Hi James! I am so obsessed with making compost, I even started a little compost bucket in our hotel room. Couldn't bear to throw out good stuff : ) Brought it home and added it to my bin !
