  1. Goals for 2019. Outdoor: Get our new garden fenced in and started, start with dairy goats, and increase our chicken population, get the house painted. Indoor: get our carpet replaced with laminate and finish painting! We moved to our house on 20 acres last year, and we’re just getting started on the new place!

  2. Our 2018 goal was to locate and move to our homestead. After several visits to numerous states, well, it just didn't happen. However, I was reading a book the other day and it gave me inspiration as to what we may be doing wrong.

It states: "[I] sometimes think that all houses must be connected by some kind of network. It's as if, when you tidy [and restore] your house properly, your house announces to the network that you take good care of your home, and this attracts another one to you."

Maybe our goals weren't met as we were TOO invested in where we wanted to be and not invested in where we are now. So in 2019 we are going to focus on where we are and when the universe sees our hard work and our determination, it will make our dream come true.

  3. Good luck getting everything done. That is a long list of stuff to do! One of our goals for 2019 is to sit down and have a meal that was made from food that Sole came from what we either raised in the garden or harvested from one of the animals.

  4. I'm anticipating a new job, finishing my herbal studies , and growing as much food as possible. Also saving money, getting rid of stuff and and preparing for our new land. Were believing God for our land and will be building our own log cabin from a log cabin kit. That's what we're anticipating. So much goodness to come!

  5. Watching 2019 reeling towards me with many things. Paying off most of our debt, putting in a new home(getting this country girl back to the country), another grand baby, and starting on my new raised garden beds. Some days I feel like I can't see the forest for the trees, so looking forward to new adventures and rolling with the punches hopefully a bit better than last year. Bless you and your family now and in the coming year! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  6. Jesse,. By watching an rver as he crosses the USA. He can know an area that he is going to be coming up to in the next few days and notify is own postal to send his mail ahead of him to a designated Post Office as he crosses the country. Just a little FYI for the Hollars.

  7. I go out to my raised beds walking around them blessing the ground where the seeds are going and praying they'll be vigorous full of nutrients strong with a shalom kind of peace throughout my garden. Yep! Really! Planning and hunting the pages of garden catalogs like a kid a Christmas even when it's not.

  8. You are such an inspiration to me I am very excited to extend on my allotment garden for 2019 lotd of new flowers and veg to grow including some heirlooms that you have got me into watching your garden . but as you say it is quite easy to end up wasting food we have grown. I had a miscarage 2 years ago while been with my new partner I am in my 40's but crave a baby with my new partner he has just told me that he wants us to try again I am so ready to make this work and after learning about how the diet can help conceive and to maintain a good diet after this has also put me in the mind set that I can do this grow lots more and eat more in our family hugs and kisses to your family have a lovely christmas x

  9. We are going from about 40sqft garden to 1600sqft and I am so excited about it. Ive begun the planning process and we want to grow as much of our food as we can for a year. We are also talking about chickens and I'm still dreaming about getting goats. We want 2 some time soon but we're not sure where to go for the goats just yet.

  10. I'm new to your Vlog what do Cucamelon and purple Tomatoes taste like and those pear shape looking like tomatoes? How can i get some of your seedlings? Maybe like 20 seeds of each? Blessings Christina San Diego Ca.

  11. What happens if your kids want to eat certain things that aren't the things that are being grown?? You have a bunch of kids and I see kids now-a-days and they have temper tantrums if they don't get what they want..how do you deal with that and forcing them to eat the way you want them to??

  12. My husband does the same thing. Can't complain too much since the work gets done, lol. I've started from the beginning. It's exciting knowing where you end up. God has truly blessed you for your faithfulness. God is good.
