It’s a New Year Everyone and it’s time to “Get into It” and become as self-sufficient as possible! This is our new Self Sufficient Me Channel Trailer it shows a quick epic hit of what this channel is about and some sneak peeks of what videos and projects to expect this year.
Remember, you don’t have to be self-sufficient in everything just be self-sufficient in something… & Look, and see the Earth through her eyes… We can grow better and bigger by working with nature rather than fighting against it.
Have a great year and thanks for your ongoing support!

Self Sufficient Me is based on our small 3-acre property/homestead in SE Queensland Australia about 45kms north of Brisbane – the climate is subtropical (similar to Florida). I started Self Sufficient Me in 2011 as a blog website project where I document and write about backyard food growing, self-sufficiency, and urban farming in general. I love sharing my foodie and DIY adventures online so come along with me and let’s get into it! Cheers, Mark 🙂

Hi Mark. Could you tell me the name of the Fairy Floss Tree you featured in one of your videos, and where to buy. Cheers. Malcolm.
waiting for ton of galangal harvesting video
Why have I been watching videos about a man building a log cabin in the Canadian wilderness when I should've been watching you? Great trailer – you remind me of a cross between Peter Russell-Clarke and Costa Georgiadis…
Your right, that really is an epic trailer!
Aussies are so cool
Me: Why are there so many deadly anima?… oh… he's in Australia.
What was that whopper hanging down, zuchinni? Or cucumbers?
Searches for "Australian gardener" on YT.

Hi Mark, Absolutely addicted to your channel and I've been an avid watcher for a couple of years now and my grand-daughter loves the channel as well. However while planning our growing year Miss 12 asked if we could try Rockmelon and me being me, said of course Honey. Well my first instinct was "how hard can it be?" and my second was "I'll check out SSM." That's when we discovered there are no vids about growing melons. Is that because you haven't done them or because you haven't grown them? Asking for Miss 12. BTW, we are just south of Brisbane. Cheers.
This is what a proper channel trailer looks like 🙂 great job!
Thumbs up
Sorry what kind of channel is this dont show full versions just bloody music
Woah! That snake is soooo scary! I think I would never go back to the garden if I see one like that. But all the other animals are super cute. Even the fox. Chickens are in my wish list. I am allowed four in the city but I need a good coop before I can get the chickens.
Just found your channel, GREAT trailer, I also saw the "bury logs in a raised bed" video. Good idea! Saves work for the future, for a long time! Ya got a new sub!
Have a look at http://www.powergrowater.com and use vortex water when starting your plants off. Connect the vortex after the water main and get health water all the time. Nigel Abraham
