  1. Just got a 6400 15k lumin LED hanging light made for tall garages for free. And it's only 18 inches by 10 inches and light and skinny. I can't belive how bright this thing is. Hung it at 6 feet cause that's as high as I can get it and it hurts my eyes. Gonna stick plants under it today.. should I drop it lower to plants. I'm.doing just test stuff and trying to get ready for next spring just started learning a month ago. I bought 2 blueberry bushes that I'm going to keep in catainters. And some sweet taters and small tomatoes plant . I now this light won't do all that but these light r 50 bucks new at home depot. I'll buy more if I get this to work

  2. Good advice but like someone said in another video it feels like he’s telling you off all the time, I find him a bit condescending and he could be a bit friendlier.

  3. Most INFORMATIVE VIDEO on Grow Lights I have ever seen!!♥️

I'm newish to gardening and start plants indoors in a south facing window. I'm in zone 5 and have been wanting to have fresh greens in the wintertime, but all the confusion over grow lights has stopped me dead each time after some online searching.

Even youtube light reviews were a waste of time. THANK YOU!!! I finally feel I can go out and buy a light.

  4. I grow tropical plants and I'm very worried that this winter is going to shock them ( especially my big anthurium ) I'm planning on buying a few lights & humidity for strategic areas. This video helps quite a bit. Thank you!

  5. Linear fluorescents are different than compact fluorescents. Might throw some folks off with the wrong terminology. CFL's are the equivalents of Incandescent light bulbs.

  6. If a light is 30x more poweful it does not mean you should put it 30x further. Light follows a inverse square law. For exemple, if you put the same light at 10' and then at 20' the amount of light will be divided by 4 and not 2.

  7. Lumens are a measure of how bright a light is to the human eye NOT, NOT, NOT ,NOT, NOT how well a plant will grow under it!!!!!

I'm sure you have other useful content but this is a basic concept. The fact that you use the words growing and lumens in the same sentence is a dead giveaway you don't know what you're talking about on the subject of indoor lighting. You're focus is clearly on quantity not quality of content. Stop teaching/spreading BS!
