  1. Is there another way to get your book directly from you as I know greedy bastards amazon take a massive cut. It’s like you harvesting a leek and you only keeping the leaves off the top

  2. I'm very impressed and will be following all your tips. You are correct on how inexperience gardeners get so overwhelmed that they either start and fail or don't start because they are confused by so much information.
I am starting with 1 raised bed and will follow your advice and also your organization for long term gardening success. Thank you very much for all your research, experience, and love of gardening.

  3. So nice to have discovered your channel from Rob over at Eassyon's Family Garden. He did a review of your book and it sounds wonderful. Looking forward to ordering it!! Thank you SO much for helping all of us who love to garden! God Bless, Mary

  4. Huw I'm so glad to see you have grown up into such a wise gardener. In the years I've watched your videos you have steadily expanded your knowledge and now you're sharing it even more with your book…bravo! I will definitely be getting myself a copy

  5. I loved your book and it has inspired me to plant a container based veg patch. I have been so inspired to give growing my own food a go and the advice in your book was simple, easy for a beginner like me. Have now subscribed to your channel, please keep up the good work, you are inspiring!

  7. I tried to purchase your book from Amazon and it said…This item requires special handling and cannot be shipped to your selected location. Is there a different way to get the book? Or are you going to put it out on Kindle? Thank you Huw, God bless you

  8. Hello Huw, Mr granddaughter is a career girl with little time for gardening but has brought your book 'Veg in one bed' because she wants to grow a variety of salad and veg without too much emphasis on one thing. I am in the process of landscaping her garden and have incorporated two beds to enable her to put your ideas into practise. They are not raised beds but designed to divert rainwater from the surrounding area to avoid too much watering time except at very dry times. She has already started to grow some things so I am interested to find if your ideas work for her. I have subscribed to your channel. Michael Parkinson aged 80

  9. Huw, your adorable. You remind me of my son! I just found your channel yesterday and agree completely that most gardening books are overwhelming! Yours is not. Just a straight forward plan to follow so I bought it on the spot and will follow it as written. Thanks for such great info. Teaching is your gift-great job!

  10. We are exactly the family you described, we've gone from a few pots and built 6 beds along one side of our garden to give this a short. I'm trying to scale up what you've suggested for the one bed into the others and so far it's coming together! I received both your books for my birthday last weekend and I've been planning my space, monthly prep and digging into your tips for recycling free stuff as we go too. Almost all of it is pre-owned or built from recycled material from the beds, to pots to our compost bin. My friend Jasmin of Alternative Smallholding sent me your direction and I'm so glad she did!

  11. Thanks for the video, especially that last bit at the end where you talked about missing lunch on a previous shoot–I looked up your name and it said Huw means Extreme appetite? 🙂

  12. Have been learning about growing food with a 1.2m x 1.2m raised bed in the backyard. I think upgrading it to 3m x 1.2m and going by your book the next season will be a perfect step up. Looking forward to getting it, thanks for all your work!

  13. Congratulations on your book. That is exciting. I just recently discovered your channel and I am thinking about buying both your books. I’m love your videos and how humble you are. I learned a lot from you already. I live in the North – short gardening season, I wonder how your book relates to my location?

  14. So thankful to find this channel. Growing vegetables inexpensively in small space. It looks similar with Square-foot garden. I only have compost and containers available. Trying my best to have even 1 raised bed in a small area I got in an urban setting. To taste organic produce, in abundance and enjoy cooking!

  15. It's a lovely book. It truly is a beginner's book. However, the tutorial for succession planting is vital for my new acreage where we intend to move to self-sufficient food production. Thank you for an awesome resource. Thank you.
