  1. My brother built a raise bed for his carrots this year and he made it so that they would be a bit lower than his shoulders, so he could work on them standing up. And he put a shelf on the bottom to put more big pots with potatoes in them, the carrots are comming allong well the potatoes are a bit small but still better than nothing. 🙂

  2. Another idea make wood or buy metal raised beds, around the bottom of raised beds with in a boarder wood chip or hay for some mini permaculture, herbs flowers and fruit trees.

  3. We also have done edible landscaping in the front to free space in the garden. In our front yard, we have planted Nanking Cherry bushes, blueberry and raspberry bushes, strawberries, herbs, and Mammoth sunflowers among some traditional flowers. I now also feel less guilty about watering my front yard to stay in compliance with city code.

  4. It's time to plant seeds, learn to grow food, and be more self-reliant. A storm is on

the horizon. Join us at Food Forest Abundance where we will be sharing tips on how to be self-reliant.

  5. Thankyou so much for brilliant ideas.
Half of my garden get sunshine and have lots of stray cats coming in , so can't make raised beds as there are slabs that's why I used pots to grow my vegetables . Any tip for that please??

  6. Wonderfully encouraging, I am going to put in a lot more work to utilize my space. My ground is riddled with rubble and clearing meter by meter has been hard work but I am so inspired to increase growing areas bit by bit!
