It’s been a very cold and soggy couple of weeks in Brew City but we are supposed to get a break in the weather just in time for Memorial Day weekend and we are about to GET TO WORK in the garden!

So many are getting hammered no doubt. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the folks effected by these mass storms. Our spring lasted for two weeks. LOL. We headed to 100 degrees by the weekend into all next week. WOW look at all those awesome plants. They saying lets go Pa! We ready to get in our new home. Loved little Mrs. Brew. She is so cute. Hope you folks have a great rest of the week and enjoy your time off. Time to Git-R-Done!!
Been a crazy year for weather. It still hasn't really been consistently warm yet. I think the West is really getting that rain hard, hopefully it ends soon for us all.
My carrots came up too. I was very relieved. I used potting soil but it rained nonstop until they popped up. Im glad you are finally getting sunshine. I hope you enjoy your 5 day weekend. Lol!! I have super tall grass around my bail. Hahahaha
We're supposed to have a dry spell from today until next Tuesday. There are warnings that the Arkansas River may crest high enough for flooding in the bean and wheat fields. I think you are right, grocery prices are getting ready to soar.
I have to go on slug patrol now…
Sounds like the weather's been tough. Hopefully the farmers aren't affected too much. A good lesson in sustainability indeed.
We have a large (gallon?) mason jar of heirloom seeds of every imaginable type in the utility freezer for our seed bank. They will be good for many years, but we will get a fresh batch if needed. They came with growing instructions for each variety. You can buy these collections on-line. There are various size collections, and are a good insurance as many commercial seeds will grow plants that are sterile.

You always add nifty graphics. Our rain has been interesting this year, but no flooding yet. I've had trouble getting even my lettuces and radishes growing due to our odd weather. We are starting to move, but you are so right about food prices. I hope things get better for all of the farmers! (What a cutie! No…not you, Oppe. Sheesh. That little lady!)
Now you tell me about the compost. My bale tops are pretty darn dry at the moment even with a huge downpour tomorrow. Something to try next year!

Great lesson and point. It seems like spring is going to let most of us know who is in charge, I cannot seem to get anything done right now, but again great video and I want to see how much it helped or maybe even hurt the garden. Have a great one.
