Been some crazy weather all over the world no doubt. Thanks for the mention buddy and for the update on how everyone is doing. Hope you have a great weekend.
I didn’t realize you could do carrots in a straw bale!
Rabbits!! The vain of my existance.
I had some serious shock with two plants — one a tomato and the other a marigold. It looks as though the bales were very loose by those two plants, and I stepped on the bale around them to compress them a bit more. The marigold responded immediately, but the tomato is still pretty weepy. i may have to replace it. We have been having very hot weather here in south western Wisconsin.
Thanks for the updates on your garden and on all of ours! Your tomatoes are looking GREAT! So glad the weather didn't get them.
Nice update! We also have had winter like weather I see a couple nights in the 40's this week I mean enough already. I just got a majority of our garden planted
Did you get to plant your bean seeds I sent you? Mine are doing great. You always have great videos. I just learn so much from you and thank you.
Great update brother. I don't want to jinx myself but no complaints so far on our SBG. I just started conditioning our second batch of straw bales and using UREA only on those I got at 50% discount. Will do a June update this weekend. I hope the weather cooperates with you and others soon. Your plants look pretty good in the backgrounds!
Cheers,
Rob
Very nice video. Keeps us all in good spirits in spite of the strange weather.
Great update on how it's going. The weather has made things a challenge in lots of places, for sure! It was nice to hear how everyone else is doing, too.
I like the idea of the heat from the bales breaking down helping to protect from the cooler nights. Thanks for the update.
Hello! I just found your channel through Linda. It has indeed been an "odd" weather year (very rainy) for gardening. I don't do straw bale but have friends that have done it. What's doing the best so far and where are you located?
