On my vacation to Northern California, I found myself in Reno, Nevada with serious gardening withdrawal. I looked up some farms in the area, and messaged Zach of Prema Farms out of the blue. He agreed to have me out to check out the farm, which is in Zone 5b just outside of Reno, Nevada. He’s a no-till, certified organic, regenerative farmer making a go of it on 1.5 acres.
I’ve done farm tours and garden tours before, but never one at altitude. There’s a ton to learn about how Zach runs his farm, how lean his market gardening methodology is, and more – I truly hope you enjoy.
With inspiration from Conor Crickmore of Neversink Farm, Eliot Coleman, Jean Martin Fortier, and Curtis Stone, Zach is off to an EPIC first 2 years at Prema Farm.

Very impressive. Hope he's tuned into Grand Solar Minimum affecting late and early frosts.
So fucking cool.
Zach’s farm is also in the most recent Netflix documentary Kiss the Ground. They talk about regeneration farming method. These are awesome people!

Thank you, such inspiration and information! I wish my garden could be bigger than 4 8×4 beds.

I am trying to farm 2 acres in the inland empire. Thank you so much for this inspirational video,

Nice set up!
Amazing! He loves what he is doing!
What I LOVE about this is how open the farmer is to sharing his processes! It's not just keeping trade secrets to make money – it's more about giving back to the community in more ways than one!
Very informative, thanks.
What a nice and inspiring person, thanks a lot for the great farm tour.
Thanks…one of the best videos I've seen. Impressive operation. Connor's attention to detail and efficiency is evident in Zach.
Wow, this video deserves a better title. Zach is a treasure trove of knowledge and motivation.
Living the absolute dream. Something like this is my long-term goal, even if I wanna stick w/ a side of software indefinitely. Self-sufficiency, being able to do something for your local community, and doing even just a small part to help fix our environment.
Just need the money for land, or, I suppose, to move away from the family, because it's bloody expensive where I am.
