You want to get rid of aphids naturally, but you don’t know which organic option to choose. Here I tested three common organic aphid controls — homemade soap spray, neem oil, and worm castings. Find out how they compared.

every time i started lima beans and peas, the aphids immediately jump them. the last 3 years have been tough without, or with very very little, insecticide; mostly bt on pumpkins and squash. trying to help bees and other polinators who are struggling for life. i wonder if growing peppermint in strategic places would help (i was given seeds). i know it can be invasive, but, so are pest insects. worm castings seem to be effective for a few things. been a terribly hot dry year so in spring i need a new plan and it will include worm castings. thanks for sharing the success!
keep the pine needles out for your garden and the worms will return. You may need to buy worms and add a green crop to plow into the soil late fall.
good video
Nice Ma'am
Good explanation about organic pest controller.
Thank you
This is great. Thanks for the test. I did a spray last year including soap and I noticed it had really damaged the leaves in the long run. It seemed to have stripped the waxy coating of the leaves as well, speeding up disease. I am excited to try the worm castings this year. I have heard over and over the plant health benefits, but never knew about the toxicity to aphids. Very cool.
Did you spray worm casting or did you put worm casting to the root of plants
Great stuff. Thanks.
Hi, so do you add the worm castings when you plant or when you see them?
can you please explain how you applied the worm castings
Hi where did you buy the worm casting? The brand please?
You just saved me a ton of money and hardship. I will definitely be using the worm casting tip. I had no idea. Now I understand why they attacked certain plants and not others. thank you so much.
Read the "earth worm book" its my bible for all things garden, true believer in worm
