next year we would love to sale plants in the late summer and fall, because there are sooo many people that are looking for them now and no local murseries or box stores have anything left…. they are getting fall/winter gear out- so out with the summer stuff unfortunately. But our fall garden is coming on, so we are excited to get some fresh produce shortly
I am looking at buying in the Mountain Home area could you tell me what the weather is like I am in the Houston tx area
Ben reminds me so much of my son, Josiah. Joey loves the garden too and just wants to be with the plants all day long. It’s adorable!
The first plant you love are Calathea Rattlesnake! I have several, they're soooo beautiful 🙂
For the fire ants, cover your beds with plastic and put in some blocks of dry ice that you can get at the local grocery. That will kill them out and add co2 to the soil and help your plants grow.
Hi from New Zealand. My tomato seedlings are a few inches high & I'll be moving them out to my glasshouse in a few weeks. At what stage in their development should I apply the molasses, and is that a once only application, or repeated throughout the life of the plant?
The red bottomed plant is a Calathea or a Rattlesnake plant. It's in the same family as the Prayer Plant I think. Great for bathrooms because their leaves move throughout the day to face the humidity. They LOVE humidity and indirect light.
We have plants starts in our store here but it is supposed to be 100 degrees this week (actual temp not feel like) so I decided to wait about buying mine. I hope that was a good decision and they still have some when I go back. I have some starts of my own but they look pitiful.
Out Tractor supply has fall veggies
Ben reminds me of my own lil garden buddy. My Aiden is always by Momma's side, working outside or canning in the kitchen. 4yrs old and he makes my day <3
Would you happen to know why potted indoor lemon balm is getting browned edges on new leaves and older leaves? Located in Mi
The zinnia blight, does it live in the soil? Pretty flowers nonetheless. Hi sweet little Ben.
I was getting discouraged because I haven't had time to start any fall crops in the house. I had just about convinced myself that I was okay with not having a fall garden. We had even stopped at a couple local nurseries looking for starts. But then, Wonder of WONDERS, I stopped by Rural King in Front Royal, VA and what do I see on their front sidewalk? Plant starts for several types of cabbage, Brussel Sprouts, kale, collards, broccoli, and cauliflower! YES, I was so excited. I guess I wasn't really okay with not having a fall garden. Silly me. I was so motivated that I spent five hours in my little garden pulling weeds, and preparing the soil for the new plants. Even got half of them in the ground! it was dark by the time I finished and had to tend to the three little piglets screaming at me to be fed. Breagha the Donkey was happy to get soooo many weeds to eat! Can not wait for more fresh kale! Need to find out how you make Kale Chips. I've tried but they are not a crispy as I'd like. HAPPY ALMOST FALL! And, have a great trip.
If you have a moms food store they had some by me
We have fireants super bad and my dad came out here with a shovel and started digging mounds and slamming them into other mounds. they will fight eachother to the death and it clears them out for a few weeks
Benjamin is so precious, my heart ❤️
This is the first time that I have started anything from seed. I have been trying for at least a month or longer, and I keep failing at it (or my toddler messes with them and kills them). So, I conceded and when to a locally owned hardware store and got some broccoli and kale starts! I also got some mums. I don't feel encouraged about growing anything this season 🙁

You can download those two apps
It’s free and they tell you the name of those plants 🙂 hope it helps
Your thyme grows amazing ! Mine hasn’t have any survive yet
I actually got tears in my eyes when Benjamin goes "No, WE will" he's so great!
I loved those plants that had the maroon underside. The tops had a design that reminded me of hand painted pottery edges. So fun
Don't feel bad, which is really dumb.
Have a lot of Amish near me, that do spring an summer but not fall for zone 7
The pretty plant you were asking about is called Calathea Lancifolia (Rattlesnake Calathea) So beautiful!! <3 <3 <3
❤️❤️❤️
He is just so precious! Loved how you let him plant the seeds.
