Regrow your cut green onions from the grocery store! For free, you can create an unlimited green onion supply simply by rooting the bulb ends in water. Takes only a week to root and you’ll be swimming in new green onions for years to come!

It only takes about a minute of prep, and within a couple of weeks, the cut stems are producing green shoots that can be harvest and used!

  1. have a kitchen window I could change potted green onions from for over winter. Gets sun, but not full blast since window looks out to covered patio. I would've liked to hang smallish pots around that window for italian parsley, BASIL, and sage that I use in cooking, but don't know about the lighting. BTW made a Delish meal, first time, that has sage in it the other day. YUMS

  3. Don't understand what you gain. You put one green onion and get one back. You can't even use the rest of what you cut. So one whole spring onion is lost in growing.
