Oh my gosh!! You guys are amazing!! You have reignited my passion and dreams for self sufficiency and my dream to grow enough to help feed my family (of 8) as well as struggling families and our local homeless community.
So totally blaming your videos (which I’ve binge watched) for the last 3 seed purchases totalling over $100 plus a dwarf banana tree. May of ordered about 30 different tomato varieties and a few that you have mentioned. So hello from the Hunter Valley New South Wales Australia. Thank you for your amazing channel
you can eat the amaranth leaves–they're pretty good!
I felt the same way about winter until I learned about the Danish concept of hygge, which roughly translates to “conscious coziness.” It really helped me embrace the indoors during the cold months by focusing on creating an environment of warmth and wellbeing inside despite my constant craving to be outside.
P.S. October really is just magical…
I caught one of my ducks eating poke berries about a week ago. I was a little worried about it because I knew they were toxic, but he seems to be just fine. There is a way to cook the leaves, 'poke salat'. I've never cooked it, but I have eaten it when my husband's grandmother made it. I'd rather have collards lol
New to all of this. Just a question. What is BT? Thank you Jess for all of your inspiration.
I completely understand the blank-faced, how on earth do I go back through and say what I just said?? Sometimes happens when I'm writing a note in the medical record and it crashes…. so frustrating!
Glad you went back and did it again for us. God bless you all!
Have you'll Not made poke salad?
My peppers produced more as the weather change over to being cooler. Roanoke Va. and they’re still flowering
Love the hats, but the "mascot" veggie should be a tomato, not a carrot. 😉
Hahaha you give me hope
I am watching your video 2 times just because you made 2 videos:) ❤❤❤ I am sorry you audio messed up!
I'm loving the cooler weather here! Also hoping for a late frost
Please tell more about “B Tea”?
You all are awesome
I love the background sounds of crickets and sweet children playing ❤️
If you wanted to use pokeberry as a fiber dye: https://timbercreekfarmer.com/pokeberry-dye-for-wool-and-yarns/
I grew the sugar rush peach last year and all of mine looked like yours. I tried to let them ripen but they just seemed to start turning bad before I ever saw any orange color. This is in South East louisiana
So fun to watch your video as I look out on my sleeping-under-the-snow now garden beds 🙂 Broccoli is finished and covered with snow, peas (planted too late) still hanging on to their climbing strings but flowers frozen, kale and parsley still pretty green but wilted and I know the winter garlics are all cozy and waiting…
We actually eat poke salad greens. lol I love your garden!
Can you use a black light to find caterpillars the way you can hornworms?
I love my bananas trees too~!
I'm excited about growing purslane!!
The problem we had with our bed hives was when the uneducated neighbors across from us saturated their property edge by road here with RoundUp. It killed all 3 of our hives
Watching this in May of 2021 and I can't believe how tiny your arbor roses were! Past Jess has no idea how magnificent they'll become <3
The pepper harvest was impressive! I’m sure you know this, but if you film again with the mic off, why not do a voice recording afterwards to go with it? I’ve seen many videos like that and they are great. That is all that some vloggers do, actually.
