I've got the old Craftsman/sears multi pack for about 15 yrs, still running, batteries have had to be replaced, couple times.

We had hail for 24 hrs solid. I've never seen it hail like that, usually just a few minutes then it's gone, but that lasted forever. Slept great from hearing it.

Have you try giving the a high protein food? That would make them get out and laying again fast. Mealworms or puppy chow may help.

Ben is so cute, catching that chicken! Quite a few piglets, too! My ex-husband swore by DeWalt tools, in Alaska! He never had to replace them! Good for you! I worked with horses for years! Love them! So happy you rescued yours, wish I could have them, but Alaska is not kind to horses.
