Starting seeds indoors using soil blocking has become my favorite way to start seeds. Making the soil blocks themselves may seem intimidating, but it’s really an easy process.

Hi – I’ve been soil blocking for a few years now. Great videos and blogs by the way! Question for you – I’d like to try carrots in 2 inch blocks. I know it’s not recommended but I know you did it in the micro blocks and wanted your thoughts on starting them indoors, planting about 3 seeds per block, thinning, and transplanting into garden. Thoughts?
Is that a specialized tool sold somewhere?
