I’m a retired builder and the darker roof that Patara chose will be the better choice. I’ve installed thousands of roofs and the one Patara chose will give more flexibility down the road for color choice of trim and it will be no hotter than the lighter choice

Sunrise cedar…lighter, cooler, less blending with the brick,ie contrast is more appealing.
What about the tin roof?

I lke the color of the Heather blend, bu James is right the cedar is lighter for hot summer days. But the heather is darker for cold winter days. LOL

I really like the Sunrise Cedar.
It's probably already done but I like sunrise cedar, it will be cooler and I think it matches well with the lighter parts of the brick.
