The start of summer is so exciting! The garden looks so lush and full and it is about to burst with an abundance of food and colour. In this video, I am outlining all the key jobs I am doing at this time of year, for example how I prune tomatoes, keep salad leaves healthy and how there is still time to sow new crops. Enjoy!

"To celebrate the start of summer, the weather has turned cool" – a very British phenomenon, I'm sure!
I I have some beds that will be finishing with greens soon, what should I start to grow now to take its place? I feel I'm limited to greens, maybe beet root?
Some great tips – especially about pruning tomatoes. Thank you, Huw. Just enjoyed our first harvest of new potatoes, which were delicious!
Huw, have you ever considered that part of your success in the garden might be assisted by the fact that all your water is natural, ie non chlorinated, Florided from the tap? In the same way as the garden always looks better after a good rain soaking (vs watering with hose)?
Thankyou Huw, your garden is looking lush and verdant. I loved the caravan of sheep wending their way across the field behind you! Very bucolic.
Love your videos, but it's not summer yet.
please make a video about how u get that soil to be like that,is so soft and dark!
Hello Huw, I wonder if takeing potatoe flowers off has any point. Some people do it. Few years I ended with some sorts wich didnt flower at al but I am stil interesting if it is is a beter crop if we take flowers off. Wish you al the best and love from Slovenia!
Really concerned about the welfare of the sheep in the background, a number of them are lame, you can see them struggling to get along.
You are blessed.
Beautiful Video’s. I believe I seen you the other day with the Hard back edition . Of your new book . Great.
I am always astonished why Europeans and North Americans don't have roof guttering and water tanks. Here in Australia we simply could not survive without them.
Any idea how do you get rid of tiny red spiders on tomatoe plants ?
why not put a gutter and IVC tank off the shed roof huw? the summers are only going to get hotter! thanks for your videos
I love the sheep in the background, but noticed that there are quite a few of them limping badly, never seen so many sheep limp like that…Pour things one of them stopped as seemed to be in pain…? I hope someone looks into it, I feel so sorry for them. I don't see many sheep here and it's always great to see them….!
Sorry for the distraction Huw, love your gardening video's you make so much sense with your gardening practices.
Those chard leaves looked fabulous, I have some seeds up about a week now, so my fingers are crossed I can get them going as well as beets, love them too, will be sowing them in a few days too. Thank you so much for sharing your video's. I'll send you some of our hot 90 + weather at the moment, it's hot, hot all the way for the next week or more…!
I em surprised that u dont lightly mulch u are a wise gardener i love your videos and tips
Hola, que le hechas a la lechuga?es agua?
Huw, Congratulations on your channel. I have one question at the moment: where can I buy a "Solar Tunnel" like yours. I nearly bought one back in 2006 but now I cannot find any website. Can you help, please?
Huw your garden is so beautiful .is it possible to visit your place?
From Birmingham
Can you show how do you cover the entire raised bed in a black sheet and then grow over it. and how to grow chickpeas
You keep dropping your secatuers into the soil!
Really great practical advice. Many thanks!
