I love silver queen corn. So sweet. Yall had a really nice harvest. Hopefully, the rest that was left will mature and you can get them. Yall must have a huge freezer haha. Are yall still raising the catfish this year? I don't recall seeing a video on it yet.
I must say i have never seen silver corn!! Beautiful!
Thats what I planted ''silver queen'' and you have done very well with it. My lack of knowing this new place was a big factor in my failure. I planted the corn, green beans, crook necks, black beauties, and 4 different types of sunflowers in a 3 sisters garden. The problem was once the daily rain started and the TS came through, it just holds water. I lost everything except sunflowers and about 8 stalks of corn, all of which were at the high side of the plot. it was very discouraging but a good lesson learned. Just next to the 3 sisters plot, I had about 8 sweet bananas, 15 okra, and maybe 10 bush bean plants. Only the okra has survived and it only about 2 ft high. I know I need to fix this problem and will work on it this fall/winter.
Silver queen corn is so good, its delicious right off the stalk..no cooking needed.
We used to have Silver Queen Corn all around south Jersey. How I miss it.
